Pakistan Address Format Breakdown
Recipient Name
Start by writing the name of the recipient in the first line. You can add honorific titles like Mr., Ms., and Mrs. If you are sending the mail to a business, write the company’s name in the first line. Write the name of the person and their department in the second and third lines respectively. To ensure that the internal mail distribution system sends the mail to the right office and desk, write ATTN. in front of the person’s name.

House Number and Name
In the second line, write the number and name of the house. Other details like the street name and number and sector details can be added in lines after this.

City and Postal Code
Write these two address elements in the order mentioned above. Some of the major cities in Pakistan are Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Gujranwala, and Islamabad. The postal codes are called ZIP codes in Pakistan and they are five-digit numbers.

Country Name
Write the name of the country in the last line. If you are sending international mail to Pakistan, write the country name in capital letters.

Typically, the streets in rural areas in Pakistan do not have a formal name. In this case, write the name of the village, followed by the nearest larger town. The rest of the address components will remain in the same place as the residential address.

Except for the first two lines, the rest of the address will look like a residential address. In the first line write the name of the organization and in the second line, add the name of the specific department.

In the residential address, instead of the street address, write the term “PO Box” and then the PO box number.
