Recipient Name
Start by writing the name of the recipient in the first line. You can add honorific titles like Senor for Mr. and Senora for Mrs. If you are sending the mail to a business, the company’s name will come in the first line. Write the name of the person and their department in the second and third lines respectively. If you want to ensure that the internal mail distribution system sends the mail to the right office and desk, add ATTN. in front of the person’s name.

Street Address
In the second line, add the street name. The street names in Venezuela are written with the street type before the name. There are two types of streets: Calle ( Spanish for Main Street) and Avenida ( Spanish for Avenue). In case of a PO Box, write Apartdo Postal (Spanish for Post Office Box) or AP, and then the box number.

Building Name
Write the name of the building after the term “Torres”. If there is a specific entrance, write “Entrada” and then the number.

Floor and Apartment Number
Write these address elements in the same order mentioned below. When writing the floor number, write the term “Piso” in front of it. Similarly, when writing the apartment number, write “Apartamento” in front of it.

City, Postal Code, and State Abbreviation
Write the three address elements in the order mentioned above. The postal codes are called “codigo postals” in Venezuela and they are four-digit numbers. Some of the major cities in Venezuela are Merida
Caracas, Maracaibo, Valencia and Barquisimeto. An abbreviated version of the state will come after the city and postal code.

Rural Address Format
Typically, the streets in rural areas of Venezuela do not have a formal name. In this case, write the name of the village, followed by the nearest larger town. Add the rest of the address elements in the same way as the residential address.

Write the name of the organization in the first line and the specific department in the second line. Place all the other address components, except the recipient’s name, in the same way as the residential address.
