Malaysia Address Format Breakdown
Recipient Name
Write the name of the recipient in the first line. You can also add an honorific title like Pn for Ms. and Mrs and En. for Mr. If you are sending the mail to a business, write the company’s name in the first line. In the second and third lines, write the name of the person and their department respectively. To ensure that the right office and desk receives your mail, add ATTN. before the person’s name.

House Number and Other Specific Elements
In the second line, add the house number, floor number, and the building name.

Street Address
Add the number and name of the street for the residential and business addresses. Street names in Malaysia are written with the street types before the street name. Write Jalan (Malay for street)before the name of the street. In case the recipient has a PO box, write “PO Box” and then the box number.

Postal Code and City or Town
Write them in the order mentioned above. The postal codes are called post codes in Malaysia and they are five-digit numbers. Some of the major cities in Malaysia are Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Ipoh, Melaka, and Johor Bahru.

State Name
Write the name of the state in this line. It is important to add a state name when you are sending international mail to Malaysia. There are 13 states in Malaysia. Some of the famous states are Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and Perak.

Write the name of the company in the last line. If you are sending international mail to Malaysia, write the country name in capital letters.

Special Considerations for Latvia Address Formats
- Address Placement: Write the address on the bottom right-hand corner of the envelope.
- Address Line Alignment: All the address lines should be left aligned.
- Punctuations: You can add a comma between different address elements on the same line. For instance, in a Latvian address format, the city and postal code can be separated by a comma.

Residential Address
Write the recipient’s name, street address of the PO box, city/town, postal code, and country name. Each element will come in a separate line.

In the residential address, the name of the organization will come in the first line instead of the recipient’s name. In the second line, add the specific department.

Write the military address format in the same way as the residential address format except for the first two lines. Write the rank and full name of the person in the first line and the military unit number in the second line.
