Guatemala Address Format Breakdown
Recipient Name
In the first line, write the full name of the person. You can add a title like Senor for Mr. and Senora for Mrs. If you are sending the mail to a business, write the company’s name in the first line. In the second line, write the person’s name. Their department will come in the third line. To ensure that the internal mail distribution system lands the right desk and office, you can write ATTN. in front of the person’s name.

Street Address
For the residential and business address, write the name of the street and house/building number. There are two types of streets in Guatemala- Calle and Avenida. Write the street type before the name. If the recipient uses a PO box, write AP (Apartado Postal is Spanish for the PO box) and then the box number.

Write them in the order mentioned above. Add a hyphen between the postal code and the city. The postal codes are called codigo postales in Guatemala and they are five digits long. Some of the major cities in Guatemala are Mixco, Escuintla, Amatitlán, Villa Nueva, and San Miguel Petapa.

Country Name
Write the country’s name and an abbreviated form of the geographical region in the last line. When you are sending international mail to Guatemala, write the name of the country in capital letters along with the geographical location.
