Take, for instance, the street address is important in residential address format but it is replaced with a PO box number for a military address. Dominican Republic Address Format Breakdown
Recipient Name
Write the recipient’s full name in the first line. If you are sending the mail to a business, write the company’s name, followed by the person’s name and department. You can add ATTN in front of the person’s name to ensure that the mail distribution system lands the mail at the right desk and office.

Street Address
Write the street name and the house and building number if you are sending mail to a residential, and business address. Write C (short for Calle which means street in Spanish) before the street name. In case the street has a number, add a slash and then the number. To add the building number, add # and then the name.

In case the recipient uses a PO box, write “AP ( Apartado Postal is the Spanish counterpart for Post Office) and then the box number.

District
Write the name of the district. There are 202 municipal districts in the Dominican Republic.

Postal Code and Locality
Write them in the order mentioned above. Postal codes are called códigos postales in the Dominican Republic and they are five digits long. After the postal code, write the locality name in the same line. It can be a city or town.

Country Name
Write the name of the country in the last line. When you are sending international mail to the Dominican Republic, the country name will always be in capital letters.

Write the name of the NGO or the organization in the first line and the department name in the second line of the residential address. This will come in place of the recipient’s name.
