Czech Republic Address Format With Examples

The Czech Republic is located in central Europe. It shares borders with Germany in the west, Poland to the north, Austria to the south, and Slovakia to the east. Its geographical location impacts how the people of different regions within the country communicate with each other, especially through mail. Different region has its way of writing the address format. Some might consider certain address elements important, while others might omit them.

Moreover, there are multiple types of addresses within a country and each has its specific format requirements. If you want to send a mail to a client or customer in the Czech Republic but don’t know the format, we have got you covered. We present to you the address format for multiple purposes along with examples.

Czech Republic Address Format Breakdown

Recipient Name

Write the name of the recipient. You can add honorific titles such as Pane for Mr. and Pani for Mrs. If you are sending mail to a business, write the name of the company, followed by the person’s name and department in the second and third lines. If you want to make sure that the mail reaches the right desk and office, add ATTN. in front of the person’s name.

Example:

ALEXANDER JONOVICH

Or

ABC S.R.O

ATTN: ALEXANDER JONOVICH

FINANCE DEPARTMENT

Street Address

Write the street name and the house/building number. If the recipient uses a PO box, write “PO Box” and then the box number.

Example:

HAVELSKÁ

Or

PO BOX 45

Postal Code and City

Write them in the same order as mentioned above. The postal codes are called Poštovní směrovací číslo (PSC) in the Czech Republic and they are five digits long. Add a space between the third and fourth digits. Some of the major cities of the Czech Republic are Brno, Ostrava, Pizen, Liberec, Olomouc, and Karlovy Vary.

Example:

650 23 BRNO

Country Name

Write the name of the country in the last line. If you are sending an international mail, write the country name in capital letters.

Example

CZECH REPUBLIC

Special Considerations to Write a Czech Republic Address

  • Address Placement: Write the address on the bottom right-hand corner of the envelope.
  • Address Line Alignment: Align all the address lines to the left side.
  • Punctuation: Do not add any punctuation between the address elements, even if they are two that share the same line. Take, for instance, a Czech Republic address format, the postal code and city will come in the same line without any punctuation.
  • Street Address Component: The street address consists of two numbers, separated by a slash. The first number is a unique district-related building number and the second set of numbers is the street number.
  • Locality Name: If you are adding a delivery post name and it is different from the locality name, then the locality name will appear on the line above the postcode.

Our Customers Say It Best

We have been using PostGrid for a few months. It works with our CRM, the software interface, efficiency, automation, and integration with no issues. Their support team is quick with resolution and their web portal is easy to access and transparent in retrieving transactions and analyzing weekly & monthly sending limits.

Chief Technology Officer

This API has turned out to be a great asset. We started off with 4000 mailings for 3 months and never had any downtime. I requested an increase in the sending limits and it was given to me in 10 minutes! I also have used PostGrid to verify our mailing lists. It’s been great to us and customer support is very reliable.

Vice President Of Engineering

We wanted a low-cost, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-use direct mail platform. Finally, PostGrid took all my worries in terms of snail mail. The pricing is very reasonable! There is almost no delay in the SLA’s commitment, and it is exciting to watch automation in action. Easy to build and maintain the mailing lists of our patients. Not to forget, reports can be generated, and a block editor can be used too!

Director Of Operations

We were looking for a solution to outsource and automate our process of mailing welcome letters to our customers. Previously had 2 dedicated people printing the postage label, stamping it manually and stuffing the mail and dropping it off at the postal office. It was very inefficient and could have caused major compliance issues. PostGrid helped us eliminate the entire manual process with their automation and API solution, now sending all mails smoothly.

Director of IT and Operations

Very straightforward, fast, and reliable address standardization API. We collect address data from multiple patients, clinical records, and providers and attempt to combine them into one. Addresses are often redundant or formatted differently in this process, which is our biggest challenge. PostGrid makes it easy for us to solve both of these problems simply by appending PostGrid to our datasets.
