Cyprus Address Format With Examples

Cyprus is located in the northeastern part of the Mediterranean Sea. It is at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. This has made Cyprus culture very diverse which reflects in how people in different regions communicate with each other, especially through mail. Different regions have different ways of writing the address format.

Moreover, there are different requirements for different types of addresses. Take for instance, a PO box address is necessary in a military address but you can add a street address to write a residential or business address. If you want to send mail to a client or customer in Cyprus but don’t know the format, we have got you covered. We have listed all the types of address formats with examples.

Cyprus Address Format Breakdown

Recipient Name

Write the full name of the recipient in the first line. You can add honorific titles according to the region. For the Greek-speaking population, you can use Kyrie and Kyria for Mr. and Mrs.  For the Turkish-speaking population, you can use “Bey” for men and “Hanim” for women.

In case you are sending the mail to a business, write the name of the company, followed by the person’s name and their department. You can ensure that the mail reaches the right person by adding ATTN. in front of the name.

Example:

KOSTAS ANDREAS

Or

ABC LTD.

ATTN. KOSTAS ANDREAS

FINANCE DEPARTMENT

Street Address

Write the street name and house/building number for residential and business addresses. In case the recipient uses a PO box, write “P.O. Box” and then the box number.

Example:

355 SPYROU KYPRIANOU AVENUE

Or

PO BOX 34

Postal Code and City or Town

They will share the same line in the same order. Some of the major cities in Cyprus are Larnaca, Nicosia, Limassol, and Paphos. The postal codes are called ZIP codes in Cyprus and they are four-digit numbers. Each city and town has its postal code. If you are sending mail from an international location, add the ISO-2 alpha country code in front of the city. Add a dash between the country code and the postal code.

Example:

CY- 1435 LIMASSOL

Country Name

Write the name of the country in the last line. If you are sending international mail to Cyprus, make sure that the country name is in capital letters.

Example:

CYPRUS

Special Considerations to Write a Cyprus Address

  • Punctuations: Make sure there is no punctuation especially when address elements share the same line. For instance, in a Cyprus address format, write the city name and postal code in the same line without any separating punctuations.
  • Address Line Alignment: All the address lines should be left aligned.
  • Capitalization: Write the address in capital letters for clarity and legibility.

Our Customers Say It Best

We have been using PostGrid for a few months. It works with our CRM, the software interface, efficiency, automation, and integration with no issues. Their support team is quick with resolution and their web portal is easy to access and transparent in retrieving transactions and analyzing weekly & monthly sending limits.

Chief Technology Officer

This API has turned out to be a great asset. We started off with 4000 mailings for 3 months and never had any downtime. I requested an increase in the sending limits and it was given to me in 10 minutes! I also have used PostGrid to verify our mailing lists. It’s been great to us and customer support is very reliable.

Vice President Of Engineering

We wanted a low-cost, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-use direct mail platform. Finally, PostGrid took all my worries in terms of snail mail. The pricing is very reasonable! There is almost no delay in the SLA’s commitment, and it is exciting to watch automation in action. Easy to build and maintain the mailing lists of our patients. Not to forget, reports can be generated, and a block editor can be used too!

Director Of Operations

We were looking for a solution to outsource and automate our process of mailing welcome letters to our customers. Previously had 2 dedicated people printing the postage label, stamping it manually and stuffing the mail and dropping it off at the postal office. It was very inefficient and could have caused major compliance issues. PostGrid helped us eliminate the entire manual process with their automation and API solution, now sending all mails smoothly.

Director of IT and Operations

Very straightforward, fast, and reliable address standardization API. We collect address data from multiple patients, clinical records, and providers and attempt to combine them into one. Addresses are often redundant or formatted differently in this process, which is our biggest challenge. PostGrid makes it easy for us to solve both of these problems simply by appending PostGrid to our datasets.
